My hair care routine!

Hello readers!

I have decided to share my haircare routine with you today. My hair is very healthy and silky and it is important to make sure it stays that way. With this routine my hair always looks and feels healthy.

Firstly, when washing my hair I use tresemme salon silk shampoo. I love this shampoo (as previously mentioned on my haircare tips post) as it contains argan oil.

I only wash my hair every 4 days and every time I wash my hair I condition it using Alberto balsam raspberry conditioner. I absolutely love this conditioner as it smells amazing and leaves my hair silky and soft. I only apply this conditioner on my ends so that my roots do not get greasy.

Then when I get out of the shower I use hair serum to help protect my hair from split ends and to make it easier to brush. This helps prevent breakage of the hair when brushing.

After that when brushing my hair I use a paddle brush as this is easier on knots and makes brushing my hair so much easier as it is very thick and long.

Finally after I have brushed my hair I never dry it with a hairdryer as this prevents heat damage. Instead I tie my hair into a low ponytail with a scrunchie and leave it to air dry naturally.

And voila you have healthy, silky hair!

Leave any tips you may have from your haircare routine in the comments I'd love to know!

L'oreal Paris True Match Foundation- First Impression review

Hello readers!

Recently I have purchased L'oreal's true match foundation as my old foundation had become to dark and I fancied a change of brand. So whilst shopping in my local supermarket I found a L'oreal counter where I found the true match foundation. I was intrigued by it as the foundation had promised a perfect match to any skin tone. I was surprised with the variety of shades offered as not many brands offer that many shades.

This foundation didn't disappoint. As promised the shade I brought (N1 Ivory) fits my complexion perfectly. The foundation glides on and is very easy to blend. The foundation is medium-low coverage but is easily buildable. Due to the foundation being very runny I would not recommend this product for oily skin but this foundation is perfect for dry skin like mine and it also means that very little product needs to be applied for the desired look. This foundation lasts all day (though I would recommend setting it with a loose powder) and does not cake up whatsoever. I am thoroughly impressed with this foundation and I would recommend it to others.

Overall rating: 5/5
price- £9.99

Have you tried this foundation yet?

Revision tips

Cue cards

Spider diagram

Hello readers!

Since exam seasons are quickly approaching now I thought I would share how I revise with you to help/motivate you to revise! Yes I realise how boring revising is, I absolutely hate it! But these techniques help make revision less boring than normal.

Remember when revising to take breaks every 20-30 minutes

1)      Cue cards
Whether it’s just questions or answers on the cue cards or facts it really doesn’t matter. Small pieces of information  are easier to remember in the long run as oppose to reading massive pages of text, it won’t go in. I also colour coordinated my cue cards to each subject e.g. blue for maths. This helps your brain associate a subject with a colour and remember it easier.  You can purchase cue cards from just about anywhere e.g. Tesco, whsmiths etc.

2)      GCSE pod
This is a really good website to listen to if you don’t feel like doing hard core revision.  I like to listen to this in the morning whilst getting ready. This website is like listening to a teacher so if you like learning through a teacher this website is for you.

3)      Spider diagrams
I don’t do to well with mind maps as I’m not very good with art and most of the time I can’t understand my own drawings. So I summarise information onto a A3 sheet of paper. Make sure you use colour to associate it with the information.  Each branch should be a different colour and about a different topic.

Leave your revision tips in the comments to help others out!

My favourite drugstore nail polishes- Barry M

Hello Readers!

I have fallen in love with the Barry M nail polishes. They have a huge range of colours and shades for everyone's preference. They stay on my nails for weeks without chipping for days. These nail polishes can be found in both boots and superdrug and in some supermarkets. The barry M nail polishes are great value for money at just £2.99 each. The applicator is the perfect size for my nails so the end result isn't streaky or tacky. Your nails would look good with just 1 coat although I do recommend two coats for a shiny, professional look. There is no waiting around for the nail polish to dry as they tend to dry in around 2-3 minutes.

I would recommend these nail polishes.

rating- 5/5
price- £2.99

Have you tried any Barry M nail polishes? If yes then what shades, I would love to know!
